Food waste is one of the world's most pressing environmental and social issues; in order to make a difference, it is critical that we involve emerging generations on the quest for a sustainable future. Picture books have the ability to successfully communicate concepts to young people that may otherwise be difficult to grasp without a context. Therefore, the design outcome is an illustrated picture book, both narrative and pictorial, which incorporates behavioural change activities that focus on reducing consumer food waste.
