The US Centre for Disease and Control has speculated that in 2050, the number of deaths due to antibiotic resistance is estimated to reach 10 million. Antibiotic Apocalypse is a project that intends to generate a broader awareness of the major health threat of antibiotic resistance and the development of superbugs. This cross-disciplinary project works with complex scientific visual imagery from a designers perspective using textile manipulations. The visual imagery displayed aims to confront the current problem of antibiotic resistance and ultimately educate audiences to make positive changes in their lives.
